Documentary Screening about Resiliency of Kyrgyz Canadians
The Kyrgyz Association in Canada invites you to a meaningful event celebrating culture, identity, and the inspiring stories of Kyrgyz Canadians.
Join us for the screening of two powerful short documentaries:
1. “Belonging of the Carpet”
A heartfelt story of Saule Ashimova about identity, and belonging in sport.
2. “Kyrgyz Culture in Canada: Resilient Roots, Stories of Kyrgyz Canadians”
A collection of stories that highlights the resilience, experiences, and meaningful contributions of Kyrgyz Canadians as they preserve their traditions while becoming an important part of Canada’s diverse multicultural community.
Following the screenings, join our panel discussion as we explore themes of belonging, cultural identity, resilience, and the experiences that connect generations of Kyrgyz Canadians.
