About this Event
Join us for the first in a series of Gothic inspired events with writers LAUREN ARCHER, LERAH MAE BARCENILLA, MICHAEL BIRD & PETE HARTLEY taking us on a nightmarish journey through some of the stories contained within the pages of the macabre new collection MODERN GOTHIC.
The event will be chaired by author & publisher of Fly on the Wall Press, Isabelle Kenyon.

LAUREN ARCHER is a Gothic, surreal writer based in Liverpool, UK. Stories published in literary journals. Longlisted for Mslexia Short Story Prize 2022.
LERAH MAE BARCENILLA grew up in the Philippines before moving to UK. Writes on diaspora, memory, mythology, folklore. Award-winning poet. Researcher for Maniwala Movement on pre-colonial Philippine cultures.
MICHAEL BIRD is a prolific fiction writer with stories published widely in journals/anthologies. Pushcart Prize nominated. Michael is also an investigative journalist.
PETE HARTLEY has had an extensive playwriting career. Award wins include BBC & Cheshire competitions.
This is one of our DIALOGUES events, hosting interviews with experimental contemporary authors, picking at the threads of their new fiction works & the ideas that underpin them.
