This immersive session explores the true essence of modern blues - smooth flow, grounded connection, musical depth and the confidence to move with freedom.
Whether you’re a blues dancer, a Ceroc dancer, or simply ready to expand your dance vocabulary, this workshop will help you connect to the music on a deeper level and discover new ways to express rhythm, emotion and individuality through movement.
What you’ll explore:
• Flow & Musicality
Learn to listen deeply and move seamlessly with the music. Discover how to embody phrasing, dynamics and subtle shifts, allowing your dancing to feel effortless and fluid.
• Connection
Develop a richer partner connection through grounded movement, sensitivity and clear communication. Explore how shared balance, tone and awareness create magic in the dance.
• Freedom & Play
Let go of rigidity and embrace creativity. Experiment with improvisation, texture and timing while staying rooted in the blues aesthetic.
• Modern Blues Styling
Refine footwork, body isolations, use of tension and release, and expressive pauses. Add flavour, nuance and personal style to your movement.

Blues is feeling. Learn how to embody emotion authentically - from soulful stillness to playful groove - and allow your dancing to truly speak.
This workshop is perfect for dancers who want to deepen their understanding of modern blues, bring more flavour and musical sophistication into their dancing, and experience the joy of expressive freedom.
