About this Event

Drawing on the work of paper artist Richard Sweeney, paper engineer Paul Jackson and computational origamist Jun Mitani, participants are invited to play with the mysterious Möbius Strip to explore the millinery design potential inherent in this magical mathematical object. Using patterned papers, participants will fold strips into small sculptures or unique wearables.Taking advantage of curved surfaces, edges and patterning reminds us that curves have an appeal that straight lines cannot conjure.

This workshop will be held in conjunction with the exhibition Buttons Re- Imagined.
