San Lorenzo Valley Middle School Theatre is proud to present "Moana JR.” Based on the Disney film, "Moana” with music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa'i and Mark Mancina. Book adapted by Susan Soon He Stanton, music and orchestrations adapted and arranged by Ian Weinberger. Licensed by Music Theatre International. This 75-minute musical is directed by Scott Kravitz, with vocal direction by Michael Roco, Olive Huxley and Nita Wright-Anderson and choreography by Jaycee Barber, and is presented at the SLV Performing Arts Center November 14th through November 17th. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:00 pm, with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 pm.
This thrilling and heartwarming coming-of-age story follows the strong-willed Moana as she sets sail across the Pacific to save her village and discover the truth about her heritage. Moana and the legendary demigod Maui embark on an epic journey of self-discovery and camaraderie as both learn to harness the power that lies within.
