**𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 𝗔𝗗𝗠𝗜𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗔𝗬**The Durham Museum is proud to offer free admission to the community on Monday, January 20, 10AM-4PM, to celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Join the museum as we highlight MLK’s legacy and message of peace, tolerance, community service, and an inclusive, hopeful future for all.
In addition to the museum’s permanent exhibitions, guests will enjoy special performances, an archival spotlight on Omaha's civil rights history, a scavenger hunt inspired by MLK's legacy, trivia and a screening of Dr. King's speech, as well as thoughtful presentations from local community partners.
𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀:
• A reading of "Your Bridge to History" by Preston Love, Jr. at noon
• Live performance by Nelson Mandela Elementary Choir at 12:30PM
• Hands-on creative activity with the Joslyn Art Museum
• Learn more from the Great Plains Black History Museum and the Malcolm X Memorial Foundation
