With a Splash of Latin Ballroom, Argentine Tango, Adult Ballet, West Coast Swing, Fun Group Dance, Blues (Some styles TBC) So you can dip your toe in & see if you like any of these other dance styles, it’s always great fun to try new dances in a very easy going environment..
**Saturday Freestyle has an Optional Theme ‘TBA’.

2 Nights Accommodation with Full Weekender Pass, Inc’s our Sunday Squeeze Dance 7:30 - 11pm, Dancing Friday and Saturday from 8pm - 2am min, with an optional Sunday Night (See above for costs), Inc’s Bed, Breakfast & Evening Meal, Single Rooms Carry a £39pp per Night Supplement, less our subsidy. Complimentary Cake Friday & Saturday.
Friday Night: Fun Class circa 9.30pm, Dancing MJ 8pm till 2am, 2 Rooms with Teacher Introduction around 10:15pm, 2nd room till 1am with smooth fusion music. A fusion of WCS, Smooth Jive, Tango & Blues (All the chilled smooth stuff!).
Saturday Workshops/Freestyle: Workshops 10.30am - 5.30pm 2 rooms, Freestyle 8pm - 2am, with Fun Cabaret and always our latest, busiest night. Room 2: Same Format as Friday Night.

Sunday Workshops/Squeeze Dance: Workshops 10.30am - 5.30pm 2 rooms, then dancing from 7:30pm - 11pm (Includes: Complimentary water & Parking) Then it’s off home, or join us for a pure calm down and chill out in the residents bar, lots of lovely company and chit chat.

Your Teachers:
We always aim to provide amazing Modern Jive Weekenders, whilst also dipping your toe into dances such as Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, Blues, Latin Ballroom, American Swing & Lindy Hop plus our now famous fun group dance and this weekender is no exception, see below. Our 2 Main Dances this year are Modern Jive & West Coast Swing.
Linz & Rob, Linz has been teaching West Coast Swing for around 20 years & this year is accompanied by Rob Howe! Lins is also the Queen of Choreography & creates amazing Solo Fun Dances, keeping things fun and getting everyone into the groove - a firm favourite with ALL our dancers since 2013!
Keith & Sam will be your Main Modern Jive/Jango Teacher’s - Keith has performed on the same stage as the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Katie Melua & worked alongside Alisha Dixon on the BBC, Keith with Vicky also won the Ceroc Scottish & World Showcase 2018/19. Latterly Keith & Sam performed & taught at Rockbottoms last October.
Shaun Davies (New to our Weekenders, but not to us) Teaching Modern Jive with Julie, Shaun teaches in a relaxed & smooth way & will be teaching his style of Modern Jive. A member of the LeRoc Federation, partner at Wings Club Chester. He joined us last year on his first weekender as part of our team & was an instant hit.

Jan, After many years of dancing Ballet, Modern Lyrical and stage experience along with BBO, ISTD and RAD training (up to Advanced) at the Hammond School, Chester, then later Jan also became a Member of the NATD (National Association of Teachers of Dancing).

2nd Room 8.30 - 1am Min, West Coast/Smooth Jive fusing to smooth Tango/Blues Dancing.
Sunday Squeeze ALL Genre’s Played 8pm - 11pm Inc’s Complimentary water & parking.
3. Workshops:
Saturday & Sunday: 2 Rooms, 10+ Workshops, 10.30 - 5.30pm Prices & Bookings open nearer the time.
Workshops will grow progressively throughout the weekend, starting with foundation & more basic moves, or tricks you can do with a more basic move, getting more in-depth & trickier as the weekend progresses.
So no matter what level you are at, you should find quite a lot to suit:
We are heavily Modern Jive, with a further split of Latin Ballroom, Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, Zouk, Blues, Lindy/1940’s Swing + a great favourite of our dancers, the Fun Group Dance (Some dances TBC).
Please Note: We do our best to Gender Balance, this will mean there will be times when we cannot accept any more Followers (this usually means ladies) 😢 We can still add you to our waiting list, just email & let us know what you’d like to join, ie full weekender or just Saturday night.
