Mixology Class: Dry(ish) January

For Dry(ish) January, we will be making three zero-proof cocktails that demonstrate different approaches and techniques to making cocktails without alcohol. We will discuss the relatively recent history of zero-proof spirits & beverages as well as the challenges and joys of constructing zero-proof cocktails. We will philosophize about what the necessary and sufficient conditions are to classify a beverage as a cocktail and review the history of how the cocktail came into existence. But for those of you who prefer to add spirits to your cocktails, we have chosen three that can work in either format, so an add-on is available to turn these zero-proof cocktails high proof!

This month's skill-building class will take place at Little Gem on Tuesday, January 20, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Spaces will be limited to 16 seats total, so be sure to reserve yours today! Standard tickets are available at $60 each for zero-proof or $75 each to include alcohol (includes plated snacks from Beau Catering, three cocktails, and recipe cards for each cocktail so you can make them at home).
