Most people avoid drama, but, when making art, it can be a welcome addition to a piece. Join veteran artist and instructor Kim Smith as she teaches you how to create a dramatic mixed media painting by assembling an elaborate collaged woman silhouette and positioning it over a plain background.
In the process, you’ll learn how to use:
--Various collage and mixed media techniques to bring your piece to life
--Composition basics to create a pleasing design
--Various materials for printing and stamping patterns
This workshop will introduce beginners to basic mixed media collaging concepts and provide intermediate creators some new techniques and best practices. Students of all levels have found success working with Kim—and they’ve had a ton of fun doing it!
