Ministry of Folk presents Americana

The Ministry of Folk is your alternative folk club, showcasing talented folky, acoustic acts in a beautiful historic hall in Mt Eden.
This month, we’re excited to present a special Americana Night — a fast‑moving, two‑stage showcase featuring a dozen artists performing hand‑picked Americana classics, all while raising funds for a truly important cause.
Americana is a broad, roots‑driven genre blending country, folk, blues, rock, and soul. Think Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, Jason Isbell, Lucinda Williams, Gram Parsons, Tyler Childers, Adrianne Lenker and more.
We’ll be alternating seamlessly between two stages at opposite ends of the hall — a format we’ve run several times, and it creates a brilliant flow for performers and an even better experience for the audience.
Featuring performances by: Albi & Hannah Morrell, Bill Angus, College Hillbillies, Dave Khan, Donnybrook Fair, Hoop, Kendall Elise, Kirsten Warner, Louis Jarlov & the Lonesome, Moon Goose, Tweed, plus special guests
Supporting a vital cause: All profits will be donated to Chris Kemp and his whānau to support their courageous fight against Motor Neuron Disease.
Join us Come along for an unforgettable night of music and community.
