Naomi Gurt Lind (she/her) is the rabbi of Temple Ahavat Achim in Gloucester. She is a soulful davener, a gifted educator, and a comforting pastoral presence. Her courses through Open Circle Jewish Learning (now TAMID) at Hebrew College, Brookline Community Tikkun Leyl Shavuot, and Congregation Shirat Hayam of the North Shore have gained a devoted following. In recent years, Naomi has taken her classroom outdoors and all over town with Backyard Mishnah Study. Also a performer, she sang for thirteen seasons with the Zamir Chorale of Boston (under the inspiring direction of Josh Jacobson) and has participated in several local Sermon Slams. In her free time, Naomi reads, writes divrei Torah on her blog Jewish Themes – https://jewishthemes.com/ , solves crossword puzzles (in pencil!), and bakes a legendary challah. She and her husband Bill are the parents of two exquisite sons, Akiva and Gideon.
