Our Mini 2 class is designed to build on the basics and start combining skills for more advanced swimming techniques. In this class, swimmers will begin using their arms while swimming on their front and back, learn how to take breaths while swimming on their front, and practice getting into a back float independently. The focus is on developing endurance, coordination, and confidence in the water.
Class goals include:
1. Move forward using freestyle arm pulls
2. Move forward using breaststroke arm pulls
Glide on the back independently
3. Transition into a back float from a standing or treading position
4. Kick on the back for 10 meters
5. Use "tickle, T, touch your legs" arm movements on the back to swim 10 meters
6. Take breaths while swimming on the front
7. Swim on the front with breathing or floating for 10 meters
8. Jump into the pool, resurface into a back float, and swim to safety
Swimmers must be able to swim 10 meters independently to be ready for Mini 3. This class helps swimmers refine their skills and build the necessary strength and technique to move forward in their swimming journey!
