🌴Mine Island Camp™
Grab your pickaxe and dig into the most exciting summer camp on the block! We’ll swap computers for creativity and mousepads for imagination as our STEAM Teams teleport into action-packed Mine Island hotspots. You’ll build shelters, create crafting tables and go mining for materials – and be sure to watch out for those pesky mobs! This action-packed world of Minecraft-inspired adventure is a kid favorite!
🌴 Week of July 6-9, 9-3:30 Monday-Thursday for ages 5-11. Held at one of Ankeny's best parks- Hawkeye Park in Lakeside Center!

🌴 Description:
When school’s out, STEAM is on! Kids can dive into science, technology, engineering, art, and math in an unforgettable STEAM experience. Challenge Island empowers kids to reach their full learning potential through team-based, collaborative, and creative challenges. Along the way, campers practice the engineering design process, build essential 21st-century skills, and leave every session proud of what they’ve accomplished.
🌴About our day at Challenge Island:
We use screen-free learning and teach the original definition of technology which is to discover new solutions to real-world problems. Children work together to complete thrilling challenges using the engineering process, power of imagination, and a treasure chest of materials! We incorporate indoor active learning, relaxed play, outdoor activities, and community building with new friends all wrapped up in an island-infused environment.
