Mindful Nature Journaling Hike / Riverside Park (Manhattan)
About this Event
We'll hike through this scenic landmark; Riverside Park, designed in 1875 by Olmstead and Vaux. We'll descend the terraced landscape to the promenade along the Hudson River. We'll also explore some natural trails through fall foliage, inlcuding maple trees that should be peaking in fall color.
We'll hike for about 30 minutes then pause for a 5 minute meditative breathing exercise, journal for 20 (writing, notating, or sketching the natural surroundings), and then hike back out.
MEET UP LOCATION:
We'll meet across the street from 3 Claremont Street (on the corner of Riverside Drive) in front of the monument at the park's entrance.

engage participants with nature threefold; the hike immerses us in natural surroundings, the meditation quiets the nervous system, and the journaling provides the means to closely observe and thereby connect more deeply with nature.
