About this Event
Community Corner is a service run by the NHS aiming to combat social isolation and help people to live well in their communities. We run activities to promote health and wellbeing.
Join us on the 6th November from 10:30 to 12:30 for some tea and Mindful movement with a pilates focus at Violet Melchett Health and Wellbeing Hub. We will be providing the mats, so you only need to bring yourself, and wear comfortable clothes. Please note this event is only advisable to those who are able to move on the mat.
Refreshments will be provided from 10:20. The yoga session will start at 10:35 and will last 60 minutes.
Gentle movements and guided breathing in yoga aid flexibility and strength, helping to release tension in your muscles and joints and reduce stress. We hope you will feel confident taking what you learn and trying it again at home.
We’ll be exploring gentle, guided exercises designed to improve core strength, posture, balance, and body awareness - all key principles of Pilates. This approach supports functional movement, helping you move more easily and confidently in daily life.
We’ll provide the mats, so you only need to bring yourself and wear comfortable clothes. Please note this event is only advisable for those who are able to move on the mat..
