Mindful Grief
About this Event
Grief does not follow a schedule, move in a straight line, or look the same for everyone.
Mindful Grief Group offers a welcoming place to pause, reflect, connect, and simply be with others who understand that losing someone changes everything.
This gathering uses the OutoftheBox method—a thoughtful, creative approach combining visual storytelling, quiet reflection, and open conversation. Stories are shared visually to create a focal point for deeper reflection, allowing us to engage with our thoughts and feelings through the head, heart, and hands.
This is an inclusive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental gathering. People of every background, identity, belief, and life experience are welcome. No particular spiritual or religious belief is required.
There is no pressure to speak, share personal details, explain your relationship, or grieve in any particular way. You are welcome to listen, reflect quietly, pass, or step out whenever you need to. We ask everyone to honor one another’s privacy and help us maintain a respectful, emotionally supportive space.
All people grieving the death of a loved one are welcome—regardless of whom you lost, how the person died, how long ago the loss occurred, or where you are in your grief.
Mindful Grief Group is facilitated by Darra Flanagan, certified OutoftheBox facilitator.
