Miho Hatori

Miho Hatori (羽鳥 美保) is a Japanese singer, songwriter, composer, and producer born in Tokyo. She is known for her eclectic solo work and as the co-founder of the New York-based band Cibo Matto. Hatori was also the original voice of Noodle in Gorillaz and has collaborated with artists like Beastie Boys, John Zorn, Handsome Boy Modeling School, and Smokey Hormel.

Her music blends genres such as avant-garde, downtempo, trip hop, indie rock, and world music. She has been active since the early 1990s, performing with groups like Smokey & Miho and Butter 08, and under solo monikers like New Optimism and Miss Information.

Hatori’s solo discography includes albums like Ecdysis, Amazon To LeFrak, Sequence, and Between Isekai and Slice of Life, which reflects her interest in anime and global musical influences.
