If Joe Strummer had come up in Greenwich Village taking guitar lessons from Dave Van Ronk and crate-digging for Rev. Gary Davis records, he might sound something like Migrant Pickers’ Gary Adler. Blending acoustic fingerpicking with a rock ’n’ roll edge, Gary’s music combines technical virtuosity with honest, soulful songwriting.

Migrant Pickers were founded in Cambridge, MA by Gary and Mark Lahti.

Singer Brenda Burke brings a captivating counterpoint to Gary’s style with her soaring lead and harmony vocals.

Drummer Eric Morris is the definition of a seasoned ringer. A Bay Area native, Eric is the rock holding this magnificent machine in place.

Migrant Pickers are firmly rooted in the subversive traditions of American folk and rock. Electrified by Lahti’s driving bass and Morris’s propulsive timekeeping, Gary, Mark, Brenda, and Eric deliver performances that are unapologetic acts of defiance—of genre, expectation, and maybe even the laws of physics.
