Midlife Hikers walk at Hole of Horcum

🥾 8 miles 🥾 Moderate 🥾 Leader: Vicky O 🥾
See the North Yorkshire Moors at their finest, carpeted with a vibrant pink and purple heather. From the car park, we drop down into the Hole of Horcum itself, and on to the pretty villages of Lockton and Levisham. We return by way of the ruins of Skelton Tower, where we might catch a glimpse of the steam railway 🚂, and then around the edge of the magnificent bowl of the Hole of Horcum itself.
🅿️ Saltergate car park on the A169 – £6.20 for the day, payment by contactless card/phone or app only
🐶 Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead at all times
🥪 You will need to bring a packed lunch, some snacks and plenty of water
🍺 After the walk, we will head to a nearby pub for a drink
Midlife Hikers is a Ramblers group for people in their 40s and 50s, and our walks are led by volunteers. Non-members are welcome to try us out for free for up to 3 walks but then we ask you to join the Ramblers
