LUKE ROLLASON - Luke Rollason is a performer, writer and clown. He stars as one of the leads in new Disney+ comedy Extraordinary produced by Sid Gentle Productions. Luke's performance in Extraordinary earned him a place in the Hollywood Reporter's Top 10 TV Performances of 2023. Luke co-wrote and stars in his new BBC Short film which is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
Luke performs absurdly creative physical comedy. His first solo show, the one-man nature documentary Planet Earth III, performed sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe and at festivals across the country, before being produced by SOHO Theatre for two sell-out runs. His most recent solo show, Bowerbird, was nominated for the Comedian's Choice Awards at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe. The show received unanimous four-star reviews from critics including The List and the Telegraph, who selected it for their best shows of the Festival, calling it "gloriously daft."
As a comedy writer, he has written for BBC Radio 4, Channel 4's Random Acts, PULPED and LADBible.
Other TV appearances include in Industry (HBO/BBC) and Becoming Elizabeth (Starz). He was nominated for Best Actor at the Maverick Movie Awards for his role in low-budget feature film Jack.
Luke trained at infamous clown school L’Ecole Philippe Gaulier. He is a member of funk-comedy double act Stepdads, and award-winning physical comedy trio Privates.
Q&A w/ LOUISA CONNOLLY-BURNHAM -Louisa Connolly-Burnham is an award-winning director and screenwriter hailing from Birmingham who founded her production Thimble Films in 2019. Louisa is an active member of Directors UK, WFTV and Cinesisters and is currently serving on the jury for the prestigious 2024 BAFTA x Rocliffe script competition. In October 2024, The BFI awarded Louisa a prestigious scholarship to the Female Film Club in recognition of her work to date.
In January 2024 Louisa wrapped principal photography on SISTER WIVES the short which she wrote, directed, produced & starred in alongside BAFTA-winner Mia McKenna-Bruce (How To Have Sex). The short has been acquired by Film4 and is currently streaming on Channel4. The film also won the acclaimed ‘Best British Film’ sponsored by Pinewood Studios and ‘Best Actress’ at The Iris Prize.
MATT FORD - Matthew Ford is a professional Writer with a Masters Degree in Creative Writing who has written, directed and produced over 10 multi-award-winning short films as Pretty Hate Productions.
He also runs a Social Enterprise called Viewfinder, which works with dis-advantaged young people using Film, Theatre and Drama to help them explore relevant personal and social issues impacting their lives. Currently, in 2023, Matt is in post-production for a documentary about the history of Birmingham in Cinema, he has written the screenplay for Daniel Alexander’s ‘Gale’ short film and is mapping out his first novel.
