Opera Fantasy

Dive into the breathtaking, ever-shifting world of operatic favourites, where soaring drama and raw emotion intertwined. In a program of virtuoso transcriptions and arias based on operatic themes, 'Opera Fantasy' features variations on Rigoletto, Lakme, Turnandot, Samson et Dalila, and others are coupled with some of the familiar opeartic tunes. Experience an afternoon in which the operatic music brings the heart of Romanticism vividly to life!

Musicians:

Terry Lim

Imaginative flutist Terry Lim is acclaimed for chamber and contemporary music, world premieres, and international performances. He teaches at McMaster University, directs the Caledon Music Festival, and is an artist for Trevor James Flutes and Beaumont Music.

Sarah Moon

Toronto-based flautist Sarah Moon is celebrated for expressive artistry and contemporary music. She has performed with the Seoul Philharmonic and Toronto Symphony Orchestra, held principal flute roles, performs with Blythwood Winds, and teaches at Queen’s University.

Teresa Tucci

Italian-Canadian soprano Teresa Tucci is gaining recognition for vocal agility and dramatic depth. A Rebanks Fellow at The Royal Conservatory, she has sung with Banff Centre, Opera Neo, and U of T Opera, and is a prize-winning competition artist.

Joonghun Cho

Toronto-based pianist Joonghun Cho is an internationally active soloist, chamber musician, and artistic director of the Gibson Classical Concert Series. A prize-winning performer, he has appeared with orchestras and festivals across Asia, Europe, and North America.
