Micro Class: An Exploration of Vinegar—$50
About this Event
Vinegar is one of the oldest fermented ingredients in the world, yet it's often relegated to the background of the pantry. This class puts vinegar center stage, walking through how it's made from a variety of base ingredients and comparing styles that range from bright and sharp to deep, syrupy, and complex.
We'll discuss the fermentation process that transforms alcohol into acid, how aging affects flavor and texture, and the different culinary roles vinegar plays across global cuisines. You'll leave with a much better sense of how to choose the right vinegar for a dish and how to use it to brighten, balance, and elevate your cooking.
