Scroll down for English ⬇️🇱🇷A Budapesti Metropolitan Egyetem Művészet- és Designelméleti Intézete 2026. április 25-én ruhacsere eseményt szervez a Fashion Revolution Hét keretében.
Az idei központi hívószó: Átalakulás.
Hogyan formálnak bennünket a ruháink?
Hogyan alakítják identitásunkat, érzéseinket, mindennapjainkat?
Milyen történeteket, emlékeket és sorsfordító pillanatokat hordoz egy-egy ruhadarab?
És hogyan válhat mindez új jelentéssé valaki más életében?
A METU Ruhacsere célja, hogy a jó állapotú, már nem hordott darabok új körforgásba kerüljenek. A vásárlás helyett a megosztás, az újrahasználat és a közösségi gondolkodás kerül a középpontba.
A programhoz csatlakozik a fotografika szak, akik művészi módon dokumentálják az átalakulás pillanatait – a személyes, vizuális és érzelmi változásokat, amelyek a ruhákon keresztül válnak láthatóvá.
Workshopokkal és beszélgetésekkel is készülünk, amelyek a divat, identitás és fenntarthatóság kérdéseit járják körül.

🕒 Tervezett program
13:00–16:00 Ruhacsere
A ruhacsere során a darabok új körforgásba kerülnek. A résztvevők egymás ruhái közül válogathatnak, így a gardrób frissítése a vásárlás helyett a megosztás és az újrahasználat révén valósul meg. A ruhák így nemcsak tárgyként, hanem történetek és emlékek hordozójaként folytatják útjukat, miközben hozzájárulnak a tudatosabb és fenntarthatóbb ruhafogyasztás erősítéséhez.
14:00–14:45 Kerekasztal beszélgetés
Átalakulás a divatban és az identitásban
Kerekasztal beszélgetés Csalár Bence divatújságíró, divatszakértővel, amely az átalakulás fogalmát vizsgálja a divat, az identitás és a fenntarthatóság összefüggésében.
Fotósarok
A Fotográfia szakos hallgatók megörökítik az átalakulás pillanatait, munkáikból a jövőben fotókiállítást szerveznek.
Antidivat - fotókiállítás
A kiállítás a METU Fotográfia szakos hallgatóinak munkáiból egész nap látogatható.
13:00–16:00 Workshopok
folyamatosan látogathatók
A workshopok az átalakulás, az újrahasználat és a fenntartható gondolkodás jegyében valósulnak meg: bemutatják, hogyan kaphatnak új funkciót, új jelentést vagy új formát a már meglévő tárgyak, textilek és hulladékanyagok.
Maszk készítése
A résztvevők saját maszkot készíthetnek textilekből, amelyeken keresztül kifejezhetik identitásukat és kreativitásukat. Az elkészült maszkokkal a fotós sarokban fotók is készülnek, így az átalakulás vizuálisan is megjelenik.
Mosózsák és dekoráció készítés
Maradék vagy hibás textilekből készíthettek dekorációkat és mosózsákot előre elkészített szabásminta alapján – a workshop során mindenben segítséget kaptok.
Fashion Revolution Hungary workshop
A Fashion Revolution Week keretében megvalósuló workshop, amely a divatipar társadalmi és környezeti hatásaira hívja fel a figyelmet.
RE:KICKS – Sneaker & táska pimpelő workshop
Adj új stílust régi cipőidnek vagy táskáidnak, és alakítsd őket egyedi darabokká kreatív technikák segítségével. A helyszínen lévő darabok között válogathatsz, de akár otthonról is hozhatsz egy régi kedvenc darabot, amelynek új életet adnál.
Tavaszi növényültető workshop
Törött bögrékbe és konzerves dobozokba ültetünk növényeket, amelyeket ízlés szerint dekorálhattok.
A workshopok ingyenesek, és nem igényelnek előzetes regisztrációt.
A részvétel érkezési sorrendben, a helyszín kapacitásától függően történik.
ℹ️ Tudnivalók
👚 Hozd el a tiszta, jó állapotú ruháidat, ékszereidet, kiegészítőidet.
👕 Női-, férfi- és gyermekruhák egyaránt jöhetnek.
♻️ A ruhákat az épület bejáratánál add le, majd válogass a kihelyezett darabok közül.
🧵 Hibás darabokat is hozhatsz – a workshopokon felhasználjuk őket (kérjük, külön add le).
⚖️ Bármennyi ruhadarabot lehet hozni és vinni, de törekedj az egyensúlyra.
A megmaradt ruhák a Magyar Vöröskereszt Budapest Fővárosi Szervezetéhez kerülnek adományként. Játékadományokat is örömmel fogadnak – ha teheted, hozz magaddal egy játékot, és helyezd el a bejáratnál található gyűjtődobozban.

On 25 April 2026, the Institute of Art and Design Theory at Budapest Metropolitan University is organising a Spring Clothing Swap and workshops event as part of Fashion Revolution Week.
This year’s central theme: Transformation.
How do clothes shape who we are?
How do they influence our identities, emotions, and everyday lives?
How do garments carry memories, stories, and turning points?
And how can a single piece of clothing gain new meaning in someone else’s life?
The aim of the METU Clothing Swap is to give pre-loved garments in good condition a new cycle of use. Instead of shopping, the focus is on sharing, reuse, and community-based thinking.
The Photography programme will artistically document moments of transformation — capturing the personal, visual, and emotional changes that become visible through clothing.
The event will also feature workshops and talks exploring the intersections of fashion, identity, and sustainability.
The detailed programme and invited contributors will be announced soon.
🕒 Programme (planned)
13:00–16:00 Clothing Swap
During the clothing swap, garments enter a new cycle of use. Participants can browse through each other’s clothing, refreshing their wardrobes through sharing and reuse rather than purchasing. In this way, garments continue their journey not only as objects but also as carriers of stories and memories, contributing to more conscious and sustainable clothing consumption.
Roundtable Discussion
14:00–14:45 – Transformation in Fashion and Identity
A roundtable discussion with fashion journalist and expert Bence Csalár exploring how transformation shapes fashion, identity, and sustainability.
Photo Corner
Students will capture moments of transformation during the event. Their works will later be presented in a photo exhibition.
Anti-Fashion – Photo Exhibition
An exhibition featuring works by students of the METU Photography program, open to visitors throughout the day.
Workshops
Open continuously between 13:00–16:00
The workshops focus on transformation, reuse, and sustainable thinking, demonstrating how existing objects, textiles, and waste materials can gain new functions, meanings, or forms.
Sewing Workshop – Mask Making
Participants can create their own masks from textiles as a way to express identity and creativity. The finished masks can be photographed in the photo corner, visually capturing the theme of transformation.
Sewing Workshop – Laundry Bags and Decorative Objects
Using leftover or defective textiles, participants can create decorative objects and laundry bags based on pre-prepared patterns. Guidance and assistance will be provided throughout the workshop.
Fashion Revolution Hungary Workshop
A workshop organized as part of Fashion Revolution Week, highlighting the social and environmental impacts of the fashion industry.
RE:KICKS – Sneaker & Bag Customization Workshop
Give your old shoes or bags a new style and transform them into unique pieces using creative techniques. You can choose from items available on site or bring a favorite piece from home that you would like to give a new life.
Spring Planting Workshop
Plants will be planted in broken mugs and tin cans, which participants can decorate according to their taste.
All workshops are free of charge and do not require prior registration.
Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on venue capacity.
ℹ️ Practical Information
👚 Please bring clean garments, jewellery, or accessories in good condition.
👕 Women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing are all welcome.
♻️ Hand in your items at the entrance, then browse freely among the displayed pieces.
🧵 Damaged garments are also welcome for workshop use — please hand these in separately.
⚖️ You may bring and take as many items as you wish, but please aim for balance.
Remaining garments will be donated to the Hungarian Red Cross – Budapest Chapter, who also gladly accept toy donations. If you can, please bring a toy and place it in the collection box by the entrance.
