London-based drum & bass pioneer Metrik announces the Sydney stop of his Awake Album Tour, bringing his most ambitious and personal record to Oxford Art Factory on April 25.
Awake marks Metrik’s fourth studio album and a defining new chapter in his evolution as a producer, vocalist and live performer. Written and developed over five years, the 12-track record blends cinematic scale, industrial textures and euphoric melodic songwriting, while placing his own vocals front and centre.
The album has already generated global momentum, with singles including Abyss, Immortal, Fall To The Dust, Overdrive (with Grafix) and Awake dominating festival circuits worldwide. Hole — his collaboration with Rou Reynolds of Enter Shikari — was named BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record in the World, cementing the album’s crossover appeal.
Awake dives into themes of grief, ADHD, vulnerability and resilience, presenting Metrik’s most raw and honest songwriting to date. The result is a body of work that bridges mainstage energy with deeply personal storytelling.
On April 25, Sydney audiences will experience the Awake era in full force — an immersive, high-impact club show at Oxford Art Factory, supported by Dutch drum & bass duo T & Sugah.
