Mental Elf Festive Fun Run Birmingham 2024

Mental Elf is a 5km "Festive Fun Run" suitable for all ages and abilities. Whether you walk, jog, skip or run, its all about having lots of festive fun whilst raising funds to support people in Birmingham with their mental health.

We are so excited to bring back our Mental Elf Festive Fun Run for its second year!

Taking place at Cannon Hill Park on Sunday 1st December, this is an event for everyone which focuses on bringing people together, not only to fundraise, but to raise awareness for mental health and wellbeing. Mental Elf promotes the benefits of physical activity, connecting with people and doing something to help others.

We all know the festive season can be an extra difficult time for some people. Throughout December 2023, Birmingham Mind's mental health helpline team handled 1,486 calls.

All donations raised during Mental Elf will stay here in Birmingham to help fund the vital services to support people with their mental health. Services such as our Central Wellbeing Hub at The Bullring & Grand Central.

Thank you to all our elves and to everyone who sponsors them. Together we can ensure no one has to face their mental health struggles alone.

Take part in our 5km family fun run at Cannon Hill Park

You can choose to walk, jog, skip or run the 5km park run route. The event is open to all ages and abilities, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. There will be an option for a shorter route this year. We will share details of this closer to the time.

Discounts are available for family and group/corporate teams. Elf fancy dress is very much encouraged!

If you’re just as excited as us then you can get signed up NOW and take advantage of our current “Eager Elf” discounted tickets. Eager Elf tickets will be available until 5pm on Friday 11th October. We have kept the ticket prices the same as last year.

- Mental Elf Medal for all finishers

The location

The Mental Elf fun run will take place in Cannon Hill Park, starting and finishing near the band stand.

Fundraising

Last year over £15,000 was raised from Mental Elf, which is an incredible amount. We would love to reach £20,000 this year. Through your fundraising efforts, you are helping us reach more people than ever in Birmingham, ensuring they will have the support and respect they need and deserve.
