Join Us at the Brave Heart Sanctuary - Men's Circle
Come together with other men at the Brave Heart Sanctuary on Friday, November, from 7-9 PM. It's a welcoming space where you can talk, listen, and truly be heard. You might be surprised at how much you share in common with others.
We have moved from the Shed to the main farm house - it's the only double story grey house with a white front door. Parking is at The Sanctuary Garden, just in front of the house near the polytunnels. Just come on in.
The signpost at the bottom of the road includes High Holme, Muircockhall, and Dean farms with a sign to the Dean Farm Dog Park.
The gathering is straightforward. We begin by drumming in a circle, then pass a talking stick, allowing each person to speak uninterrupted before passing it on. You don't need to speak if you don't want to. Many of our attendees speak very little but assure me they get a lot out of it. Once everyone has spoken, the conversation flows naturally. We end the session with drumming.
This is a safe space, where confidentiality is respected. Sharing vulnerabilities can be empowering, and many in the circle will relate to your experiences. You can just listen. While our instinct may be to fix problems, in this space, the focus is on listening, being heard, and offering support.
Pay-what-you-can to cover venue costs, tea, and coffee.
