What is a Supported Internship?
A Supported Internship is for young people aged 16 - 24 with an EHCP or additional needs. This 5-day-a-week course, running for a minimum of 6 months, offers a mix of work experience, learning new skills, and tailored support to help you find sustainable paid employment or an apprenticeship!
Who’s it for?
For young people who:
- Are aged 16 - 24
- Have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), or additional needs
- Want to work but need some support
What will they learn?
- Digital, business admin, retail, or creative skills
- Employment skills
- CV writing and interview prep
- Understanding your rights and responsibilities in the workplace
- Growing your confidence and independence
