About this Event
The Chattanooga Writers’ Guild invites you to an essential session on crafting a memoir, presented by author and retired educational technology professor M. D. (Peggy) Roblyer, whose own memoir, Strong Glass (from Apprentice House Press), is now on pre-order and launches June 2, 2026. Peggy will address:
- Memoir vs. Autobiography - Critical differences in scope and structure
- Exploring Sub-Genres - Practical examples to help you locate your memoir’s theme
- The Publishing Decision - Crucial factors to consider when deciding whether and how to publish your personal story
No writing experience required, but bring a pen or pencil to take notes on worksheet handouts, and be prepared to share your own memoir intentions and challenges during the post-presentation Q&A.
