Melting Candle Cake Decorating Workshop & Candle Making Experience

Join us for our Melting Candle Cake Decorating & Candle Making Experience, a dual-activity workshop that combines dessert artistry and sensory relaxation. You’ll enjoy hands-on instruction from Chef Tai of The Baker’s Lab and Michelle Smith owner of Blk & Lit Candle Bar as you create two beautiful, take-home pieces — one edible and one aromatic.

What to Expect

Each guest will receive a 5” three-layer pre-built, crumb-coated cake, ready for transformation into a gorgeous melting candle cake.

Under Chef Tai’s direction, you’ll:

• Frost and texture your cake using professional buttercream techniques
• Learn the signature “melting wax” finish with a glowing candle illusion
• Add pearl, petal, and edible accent details for a soft winter glow

All supplies and materials are provided — just bring your creativity (and your camera for photos!).

Continue the magic as you design your own hand-poured 4 oz candle.

You’ll:

• Choose from 20+ premium fragrances
• Blend your own scent to match your vibe
• Pour and personalize your candle in either a white tin or a multicolor fall-themed vessel (depending on group size)

Learn the art of candle making from start to finish in this sensory-rich experience

Sip, mix, and mingle while you decorate and pour!

• Enjoy signature cocktails and non-alcoholic options crafted to complement the night’s cozy ambiance.
• Light refreshments and desserts will be served throughout the evening.

Duration: 2.5–3 hours (depending on attendee pace)

Age Requirement: 21+

Dress Code: Casual chic or holiday festive

Supplies: All decorating supplies and equipment will be provided including aprons to wear during workshop

Early Bird Pricing: Take advantange of super early bird and early bird tiered pricing options. The earlier you book the more your save!

# of Participants: There is a minimum of 4 attendees required. In the event of low participation, a full refund will be issued (minus any non-refundable Eventbrite fees)

Experience duration: This is a hands-on experience. Depending on the flow and the speed of the attendees the workshop time could run a little overtime.

Cancellations: All cancellations must be made within 7 days of event. Eventbrite fees may be non-refundable. If for some reason you need to cancel after the 7-day period, please reach out as a credit can be issued for a future experience or workshop. Credits will not be issued for any cancellation requests made less than 72 hours before class date.
