At the Meetup we will hear from Nathan, an organizer with Animal Rising, about the group’s beagle rescues from MBR Acres and subsequent trials for saving dogs’ lives.Marshall BioResources (MBR) Acres is puppy mill in the UK where 2,000 beagle puppies are bred every year, to be abused and killed in animal testing and experimentation. MBR Acres is much like Raglan Farms in Wisconsin.
In 2022 activists with Animal Rising rescued 23 puppies from this awful facility. The 20 activists who saved those dogs’ lives had to go to trial for “burglary.” They were split in to five separate cases, four have concluded

What: Community hangout and presentation
- ARC West is a 30 minute walk from North Berkeley BART and only a 10 minute walk from the 51B bus stop at University and 6th St.
- Dogs that like other dogs are welcome at this event!
- There will be plant-based brunch and coffee, donations accepted
