Course Overview
First, we’ll introduce ourselves and give an overview of our workshop; during this time, we’ll invite students to share their learning goals for this workshop with the others, in order that all participants can benefit from the experience.
Topics covered in this course
The Basics for Effective Meetings
Participants will first learn the and identify different forms, as well as reasons to avoid them.
The Best and Worst of Meetings
Teams will be tasked with outlining the signs of a bad meeting. By examining the findings from each team they will identify what makes a good meeting, giving them the tools to make meetings more productive.
Holding Productive Meetings
Participants will become more familiar with the art of conducting a meeting through a group discussion and role-play of a case study.
Preparing for Meetings
Find out how to host an event with our insights on timing, invitations and, of course, our planning guidelines.
Agendas
Participants will learn how to set agendas, and staff will practice presenting itineraries in experiential ways By making a booking, you will give a gift that goes a long way.Environment: The group will live, eat and relax in the same space, through immersion Staff will be given the freedom to design creative indoor and outdoor activities to address any team problems that arise.
Setting the Place
In this session, we will explore what considerations need to be made in choosing the best room and configuration for a forthcoming meeting.
Leading a Meeting
They’ll also walk away with some ability to lead meetings – how to conduct good conversations, how to get a good result.
Process and Content
We’ll look at process and content by emphasising the value of balancing the two, as well as how to set up ground rules using meeting engagement tools and enhancing your facilitation skills.
How to Control a Meeting
Participants will have the chance to engage in an exercise where they’ll work as a team to understand problem solving and address challenges while learning .
A Plan for Success
As the last task for the day, participants will work in small groups and draw up an action plan for the necessary changes in those areas identified as opportunity through the assignment tasks.
Workshop Wrap-Up
By the end of the course they’re encouraged to ask any questions they might still have, and come up with a plan of action.
