With her critically acclaimed debut, Pond (2015), she established herself on the international stage: a singular, incisive work that immediately captivated readers and critics alike. Her subsequent writing has only confirmed her reputation as a novelist who explores the boundaries of the form and brings the everyday to life with a distinctive intensity.
Her most recent novel, Big Kiss, Bye-Bye centres on the end of a love affair. It is a book suffused with longing, memory, and interior monologue, in which Bennett characteristically allows feelings, thoughts and observations to merge into a continuous flow.
During this evening at Bozar, Bennett will speak with Melissa Giardina about her work, her writing practice and the themes that fascinate her. A rare opportunity to hear one of the most original voices in contemporary literature in person.
