In this workshop, we’ll explore how to use your voice safely and powerfully — even when that means being loud, raw or intense. Are you curious to discover what your voice is capable of?
In this extreme vocal workshop, we’ll work on breathing, posture and playful exercises to learn how to project your voice without straining it. We’ll work from a place of relaxation and body awareness, so that power can arise naturally.
This session is led by Lina, vocalist with Predatory Void.
You don’t need any singing experience — just a desire to explore what your voice is capable of!
This workshop is organised by go BOOM, a DIY(T) feminist collective, and is aimed in particular at people who often face structural barriers in the music industry. Think of people on lower incomes, FLINTA* individuals, and so on. We therefore ask that you leave space for participants who normally have less access to this kind of workshop.
*FLINTA* stands for Female, Lesbian, Intersex, Non-Binary, Trans, or any other identities that are structurally oppressed by cis-patriarchal society
*DIY(T) stands for Do It Yourself (Together) because together we can achieve so much more.
