Meet the Maker: Ancient Oak Cellars
About this Event
Meet the Winemaker: Ancient Oak Cellars with Melissa Moholt-Siebert
Thursday, July 23 | 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Swoon Books & Wine
Some evenings deserve a really good story. This one just happens to come with really good wine, too.
Join us at Swoon Books & Wine for a special guided tasting with Melissa Moholt-Siebert, founder, owner, and winemaker of Ancient Oak Cellars in Sonoma County, California.
Melissa's path to wine wasn't exactly traditional. Before becoming a winemaker, she spent years as a cellular neuroscience researcher before trading the laboratory for the vineyard. In 2006, she and her husband, Ken, founded Ancient Oak Cellars on Ken's family ranch, where generations of his family have farmed the land. Today, Melissa crafts elegant, native yeast wines that celebrate the unique character of Sonoma County, carrying forward a philosophy rooted in thoughtful farming, patience, and a reflection of the Sonoma Valley. She also apprenticed for a decade under acclaimed California winemaker Greg La Follette before taking over winemaking herself.
During the evening, Melissa will guide guests through a selection of Ancient Oak wines while sharing stories from harvest, life in Sonoma, and what it means to steward a family vineyard. Whether you're a seasoned wine lover or simply curious to learn more, this is a rare opportunity to taste alongside the person who made the wines in your glass.
Seats are limited to keep the experience conversational, so reserve your spot early.
Come sip, learn, ask questions, and spend an evening with one of California wine country's most thoughtful voices. We can't wait to introduce you.
