Meet some of our baby farm animals, with Stef Bennett, one of the proprietors of Bennetts Willow Barn and farmers at Bennetts Farms, who will be able to answer lots of your questions about how we farm and where your food comes from. Get up close to some baby animals, including chicks, ducklings, lambs and of course some of our calves from our dairy farm. I am also going to have an incubator with (hopefully, and I can't promise this), some chicks hatching if they hatch on the day I have worked out they should! These events always sell out so please book soon to avoid disappointment. With sessions running from 10am on Monday 14th, Tuesday 15th and Tuesday 22nd April 2025 . You will book a half an hour entry time slot for your ticket, so attendance is staggered and we can control numbers. You are not limited to a half hour visit, but you have a half hour arrival window, please. Tickets are stricly limited to ensure the animals are not overwhelmed.
These sessions will now be taking place in our pumpkin patch polytunnel where it will be muddy outside on the walk up to it so please please bring weather appropriate shoes & clothing! Pleased follow the signs from the Willow Barn farm cafe balcony and up passed the Warren Bank yurts to get to the polytunnel.
Tickets are £5 per person, although babes in arms under 1 are free.
Ticket price covers your visit with the animals, cuddles and photo opportunities and, lots of information from Stef, should you wish to ask anything. Please do ask your questions as I cannot read minds! It is a very informal event - Stef will not be offering a "talk" as such but is very knowledgeable and will try and answer any questions. Please note this is not a farm park admission. We are not a farm park. But Stef will have some animals around for you to get up close with, learn about, and the chicks will be avaialble for the famous Bennetts Willow Barn chick cuddles.
Children must be accompanied by a paying adult and kept under close supervision at all times. The safety of our animals comes first at these events and we reserve the right to refuse an attendee involvement in any element of the activities if their behaviour is not safe for the animals. Dogs are not allowed to attend this event as we don't want any upset animals (although the cafe and our cafe garden are dog friendly as usual). Service dogs are permitted, but must not stress our animals, please.
This is one of our many Easter Holiday activities for children and families - see our full event schedule at www.bennettswillowbarn.co.uk
