Join us for an intimate evening in the cosy surroundings of Sexton’s Lodge, the historic gatehouse of Sheffield General Cemetery, as we welcome Andrew Littlewood, researcher and author of Sweet Remembrance: The Confectioners of Sheffield General Cemetery.Limited to just six guests, this special event offers a rare opportunity to meet the author in person and hear the stories behind Andrew’s fascinating book.
Andrew will reveal the hidden, and sometimes secret, stories behind the graves of those who helped shape Britain’s confectionery industry. From local entrepreneurs and master sweet-makers to the rise of nationally renowned brands, these tales uncover Sheffield’s surprising links to a much-loved part of our social history.
