About this Event
To celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Sheffield Bird Study Group, writers, artists and photographers from the SBSG’s membership began working together to produce a new book as a fitting milestone to mark the occasion, building on the group’s landmark publications Birds of the Sheffield Area (1985) and Breeding Birds of the Sheffield Area (2013).
At this lunchtime talk the book’s co-editors, Richard Hill and David Wood will share how and why they wrote The New Birds of the Sheffield Area, we’ll get a glimpse inside the book – which looks at 300 types of bird! Then they’ll discuss all things birds and how things have changed for the species that make up the area's avifauna.
Following the talk the book will be available for purchase.
