Meet & Grief Group: Watercolor Painting Night
About this Event
We are proud to bring back our “Meet and Grief” Group for the upcoming season! This monthly group harnesses the power of creativity to explore grief nonverbally by connecting both sides of our brain to promote healing, as art helps us express our unique experiences of grief. In the first group of the season, we will use watercolor painting to process grief and the emotions that emerge from it.
Like watercolor, grief bleeds and blooms in various ways for everyone. Through this medium, grief is externalized in a healthy process and a safe environment. Beyond this, the act of painting regulates the artist’s nervous system and brings them into a parasympathetic state.
Open to adults who have experienced a loss (death, chronic health issues, finances, divorce, career...) are non-judgmental and open-minded about the grief of others. Each person may share as little or as much as they want. The focus is on the healing properties of creativity.
