Slow down, release, and reconnect through meditation, mindfulness, and intuitive art journaling.
About this Event

A creative mindfulness practice for emotional expression, relaxation & reconnecting with yourself.

What if creativity could become a place you return to—not to make perfect art, but to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with yourself?

Meditative Art Journaling is a gentle, beginner-friendly two-hour experience designed to introduce you to the practice of using creativity as a form of mindfulness, self-expression, relaxation, and emotional well-being.

Through grounding, mindful breathing, meditation, and intuitive mixed-media art-making, you'll learn simple ways to become more present, explore what you're feeling, and express emotions that may be difficult to put into words.

We'll explore a variety of mixed-media materials including oil pastels, watercolor pencils, paint, ink, markers and more. You'll be gently guided through intuitive ways of working with color, shape, line, pattern, repetition, and mark-making to help you stay present flow with your feelings and move beyond overthinking.

You'll receive creative prompts and direction while having the freedom to choose what feels right for you in the moment.

Your artwork may be abstract, expressive, colorful, layered, simple, or completely unexpected.

There is no right or wrong way to create.

The focus isn't on making beautiful art—it's on being present with yourself through the creative process.

More Than a Workshop—A Practice You Can Take Home

The intention of this experience is about discovering a practice you can return to again and again.

When you're stressed, overwhelmed, emotionally full, disconnected, or simply need a moment to yourself, meditative art journaling can become a way to pause, breathe, get present, and reconnect.

With continued practice, creative mindfulness can become one of the tools in your personal well-being toolkit—supporting relaxation, emotional awareness, self-expression, and your ability to return to yourself.

It can also become a gentle way to support your nervous system over time by creating repeated opportunities to slow down, step out of the constant doing and thinking, and experience moments of presence, safety, and connection.
Each time you sit down to create, you're building another opportunity to slow down, listen inward, and meet yourself where you are.
And eventually, the art becomes more than something you make.
It becomes a space you can come home to.

Just bring yourself (journal optional)
This is your space to slow down, create without judgment, and reconnect with the part of you that often gets lost in the busyness of everyday life. You'll leave with more than art—you'll leave with a warm, welcoming space to open up to your own creativity, and the beginning of a personal practice you can return to again and again: a mindfulness practice, a creative practice, a sacred practice of coming home to yourself. It's an invitation into awakening your creative light—held gently, guided safely, and yes, meant to be fun.
