What role did art play in ancient cultures? Throughout history, art has been a means of expressing human emotions, beliefs, and ideas. It is believed that ancient cultures used art to communicate with the divine. From intricate carvings on ancient tombs to elaborate frescoes in temples, ancient art is rich with symbols and motifs that carry deeper spiritual significance.
