New Moon Fire Circle - Learn to Fire Dance in Ritual

As we immerge from the darknest part of the year, the seeds of intention we call forth are of great importance. What do you want this year to be about for you? On this New Moon we'll be using the element of fire to activate these themes within us. It can be about power, or it can be about zen. The choice is yours how you wish to express yourself through movement.

In this workshop we'll be celebrating the Jan 28th New Moon through a series of rituals, meditations, and embodiment exerciese. Then we'll work on accessing our flow toolkits, work up our fire-safety knowledge and comfortability with fire, then begin to dance with it.

As you arrive you'll be welcomed into a cozy and artistic residence surrounded by a lush garden, an assortment of snacks, a roaring fire pit, and comfortable pillows and blankets. The first half of the session will be indoors and the second half will be outdoors in a covered space. A warm fire pit will be present for both portions.

Over the course of the evening, we will use the fire as a tool to relax into our sense of self, our inner worth, and our inner confidence through movement. We'll dive into the fundamentals of fan flow arts to help build our toolkit for this medium of expression. We'll cover the tricks of the trade and professional fire-safety etiquette to minimize potential risk. The latter half of the evening will be back-to-back fire dances with the opportunity for commentary and integration between the dances.

Tuesday Jan 28th | 6-11 PM

Registration is $110 per person and covers everything you'll need to participate and flow. All you need to do is come dressed fire-safe which more info on how to do that can be found via my free fire-safety guide, available for download here

The event is hosted at a private residence outdoors near Upper Delbrook in North Vancouver and it is accessible via public transit.

About the Facilitator

Siren of the Elements is a multidisciplinary artist, creative, and healer who specializes in helping people access their emotional expression and personal empowerment through movement, music, and the elements. She's a renowned performance artist and fire-spinner across the Lower Mainland and she has become the go-to instructor for fan flow arts and fire-spinning initiations in Vancouver. She's a certified life-coach from the Jay Shetty Certification program and she's most accredited to helping those who are undergoing a significant life transformation and helping her clients make massive leaps through their dark nights of the souls.
