Mark your calendars for a special day of singing on May 30, 2026 in Nashville, the Tennessee State Capital. Nashville Sacred Harp singers are coordinating with our East TN shape note singing friends who sing a 7-shape system from the New Harp of Columbia, coordinated by Jeremy Shipp. While times and exact locations haven't yet been set, we hope to have two singing opportunities, to sing from the Sacred Harp and the New Harp of Columbia, in celebration of Statehood Day.
Times and exact locations are currently TBD. There will be be two locations: one in the Tennessee State Library and Archives and one in the Tennessee State Museum.
