Speak Easy is back this May following a brilliant start to the year—and we’re returning to the same spot that everyone loved.

Hosted by a volunteer group of collaborative misfits, Speak Easy is open to anyone in Dorset’s creative and tech scene who values honest conversation and good company. Once again, we’re heading underground to Sonny’s Speakeasy for an evening built around connection, not noise.

After such a great response last time, it felt right to come back. Sonny’s offers exactly what Speak Easy is about—space to talk, listen, and actually connect.

Expect a vibe that matches the conversation:

• Atmosphere: Vintage Chesterfields, dim lighting, and a crackling fireplace.
• The Soundtrack: Smooth jazz and acoustic vibes at a volume that lets you really hear the person across from you.
• The Refreshments: A world-class curated wine list, premium spirits, and artisan charcuterie for those who want a nibble while they chat.
  

Speak Easy stays intentionally unstructured. No panels, no forced networking—just relaxed, genuine conversation.

Whether you’re in tech, creative, digital, education, startups—or just figuring things out—you’re welcome.

Don't be shy. Look out for the organisers (wearing SpeakEasy badges) or ask at the door when being checked in - we're here to help facilitate meaningful, low-pressure introductions for you!

This event is free, but registration is essential as Sonny’s is an intimate venue and we expect to hit capacity quickly.
