The monthly Klezmer Night at Sabor a Cafe returns on the third Wednesday of the month beginning February 18!
Klezmer, the traditional music of the Jews of the Shtetls of Eastern Europe, was brought to America by Jewish immigrants, where it merged with jazz in the early 1900s. From Yiddish folk and theater songs to rollicking dance music, Maxwell Street Klezmer Band has been reinventing the tradition since 1983 with warmth and humor.
