Matters of the Hearth: A Gathering and Closing Celebration

Join us for a culminating celebration of our time together at The Nectary as we explore Matters of the Hearth – the ancient practice of tending the collective field with presence, care, and intention.

Over our two months in residence, we have been researching and developing practices for cultivating hearth energy in our homes, workplaces, and communities. This gathering offers a chance to experience these practices together, to inquire into what the hearth means and why it feels increasingly relevant in our times, and to share a meal prepared with this kind of care and attention.

The hearth is both literal and metaphorical – it is the fire at the center, the rhythm of gathering, the practice of collective attunement. It addresses something essential that our culture has largely lost: ways of being together that nourish rather than deplete, that create coherence and intimacy, that connect us to something larger than ourselves.

We'll spend the afternoon and evening together in inquiry, embodied practice, and celebration. You'll leave with a felt sense of hearth energy and practical tools you can bring into your own life and communities. Most importantly, we'll have a chance to delight and bathe in the warmth we've cultivated together during our time at The Nectary.
