Matt Pless comes to St. Petersburg for an intimate night of folk-punk and raw, emotional songwriting at The Potion Portal.
Based in Baltimore, Matt Pless is known for live sets that pull people in close — sharp lyrics, huge hooks, and that rare ability to make a room feel like it’s all in it together. Funny, feral, and quietly devastating in equal measure, his shows turn strangers into a choir by the second song.
He’s joined by Gainesville’s Confession Kids, whose songs have a way of sneaking past your guard — heartfelt, honest, and the kind of folk-punk that will make your heart happy. Rounding out the night is St. Pete’s own Charles Walston & Miasma. The last time we hosted Charles, he sold all his records, so don’t sleep on merch if you want something to take home.
