Í tilefni alþjóðlegs dags sjáfbærrar matargerðarlistar bjóðum við uppá fræðslugöngu og plöntusmakk fyrir utan Norræna húsið. Í gönguferðinni munum við bera kennsl á villtar matjurtir, og kynna okkur gróðurinn á svæðinu. Gangan hefst við Norræna húsið kl. 17, fimmtudaginn 18. júní. Þátttaka er ókeypis og öll eru velkomin!
Við gróðurhús Norræna hússins mun Slow Food á Íslandi vera með sýnimatreiðslu, þar sem kokkar frá Slow Food hreyfingunni vinna með al-íslenskt hráefni og villtar íslenskar plöntur – og gestir geta að sjálfsögðu fengið smá smakk og spjallað við kokkana. Fulltrúar W.O.M.E.N. in Iceland verða einnig á staðnum og kynna matjurtagarðinn - World Garden - sem hópurinn ræktar við Norræna húsið.
Viðburðurinn er í boði Norræna hússins, Borgarnáttúru – Urban Biodiversity Iceland, Slow Food á Íslandi, Grasagarðs Reykjavíkur og W.OM.E.N. in Iceland.

Nature‘s menu – Sustainable Gastronomy Day
On the occasion of the International Day of Sustainable Gastronomy, we invite you to join a guided walk and plant tasting outside the Nordic House. During the walk, we will identify wild edible plants and explore the vegetation in the area. The walk begins at the Nordic House at 5 pm on Thursday, June 18. Participation is free, and everyone is welcome!
At the Nordic House greenhouse, Slow Food Icelandic Network will host a live cooking demonstration, where chefs from the Slow Food movement work with entirely Icelandic ingredients and wild Icelandic plants. Guests will, of course, have the opportunity to sample the dishes and chat with the chefs. Representatives of W.O.M.E.N. in Iceland will also be on site to introduce the "World Garden" that the group cultivates by the Nordic House.
The event is presented by the Nordic House, Urban Biodiversity Iceland, Slow Food Icelandic Network, the Reykjavík Botanic Garden and W.OM.E.N. in Iceland.
