IPAL is elated to announce auditions for our summer youth musical, Matilda! Auditions are open for ages 10-19. Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 26 from 3 pm to 6 pm. If needed callbacks will be held April 27th from 3-6. Prior to auditions, please fill out this form , https://forms.gle/e4FyVo55rJnMojvC8
which includes a tentative rehearsal/performance schedule. We will hold auditions on a first come, first served basis. You should not have to stay during the whole audition window.
For auditions, you will be asked to do the following:
1. Sing roughly 1 minute of a musical theatre song, ideally one sung by the character you're auditioning for. Unless you bring your own track and play it on your phone, singing auditions will be a capella. We will also test your vocal range by asking you to sing scales along with the piano.
2. Read a scene from the show. These do NOT need to be memorized. We will have copies of the sides at auditions
3. Perform a dance audition taught by our choreographer at auditions.
