Masterclass – Investigations, disciplinary & grievances

Practical 2-hour workshop delivered by expert employment lawyers from Muckle LLP.

What the course will cover:

• Understanding the legal obligations underpinning management of disciplinary and grievance processes, and how to manage them;
• How to undertake an effective and robust investigation: where to start, what to review and how to ask questions;
• How to structure a letter inviting an employee to a disciplinary hearing and how to draft disciplinary allegations; and
• Understanding constructive unfair dismissal and practical advice to minimise the risk of claims.

Employees will each receive a workbook of materials and examples that we will work through together in the session.

Speakers bio:

Amy is your go-to lawyer for any contentious and non-contentious employment law advice. She regularly advises organisations of all sizes, both regionally and nationally, on day-to-day employment law issues from recruitment through to dismissal and beyond.

She is renowned for her down-to-earth approach. Amy has enviable experience in defending employment litigation claims with a particular interest in complex claims involving discrimination and whistleblowing complaints.

As well as being Muckle’s corporate immigration specialist, she leads our employment team’s training, development and delivery programme to help businesses upskill staff to self-support.
