Anthony Gladney is Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the Department of Social Impact and Sustainability for MGM Resorts International, one of the world's leading global gaming, hospitality, and entertainment companies. Gladney has day-to-day oversight of the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion initiative for the company, which focuses on the development, implementation, and programming of a comprehensive DE&I strategy. He is also responsible for enhancing the company relationships with strategic diversity partners at the local, state, and national levels. He collaborates with other company departments to facilitate external organization resources to fulfill corporate diversity goals while leveraging national relationships to support company business development.
DE&I serves under the Department of Social Impact and Sustainability. The department is a liaison for the corporate wide diversity and social impact engagement to develop company business units that achieve long-term strategic direction to internal and external stakeholders. In addition, the department provides resource delivery for strategic DE&I initiatives in the collaboration areas such as Purchasing, Contracting, Human Resources, Global Sales, Entertainment, and Governmental Affairs.
Gladney has served in various roles since 1993 in the gaming, hospitality, and entertainment industry including Community, Diversity, Human Resources, and Governmental areas of focus for two of the top companies: MGM Resorts International and Caesars Entertainment. He was instrumental in the launch of MGM Resorts International's industry first Diversity Initiative in 2001and the development of expansion projects in states such as Michigan, Maryland, and Mississippi. He attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Business Communications. He was voted UNLV's 2001 and 2005 College of Liberal Arts Alumnus of the Year, making him one of the only two-time recipients in the school's history to receive that honor. Gladney played professional football for the San Francisco Forty Niners from 1987 to 1988.
